deep dive: clockify review

what i think about clockify

“solid for daily time tracking, but missing overtime tools and basic billing clarity”

clockify does a good job at simple time tracking, and if you’re just logging daily hours or billing clients, it works fine. the interface is clean and easy enough to use once you get the hang of it. support is usually polite and responsive, but not always helpful when it counts. there’s no proper period-based overtime tracking, which is a huge miss for teams. if you need to calculate weekly or monthly overtime, you’re stuck exporting to spreadsheets and doing it all manually. the invoicing system is decent, and it integrates well for client billing, but some expected features are missing, and once you’ve paid, there’s not much flexibility. not a bad tool if your needs are simple, but definitely not for structured or high-volume teams.
